Karina

As a dancer since the age of three, I have experienced firsthand the impact of movement on both physical and mental well-being. My background includes studying physical theater and movement-based acting in college, where I was introduced to mat Pilates through daily warm-ups in a jazz class. Over the years, Pilates continued to appear throughout my dance training and somatic practices, deepening my appreciation for its focus on breath, mindful movement, and mental clarity.

My personal experience with trauma ultimately inspired me to pursue Pilates as a career. After taking my first reformer class, I experienced a reclamation of power unlike anything I had experienced since the traumatic event. That experience motivated me to become an instructor so I could help others reconnect with their confidence and strength. Teaching the mind-body connection is my passion.

I completed classical Pilates training with Whole Body Method with the goal of empowering clients through intentional, restorative movement.
